Malta

it was spring when i arrived in Malta -
when i walked down the hall way i knew that i will never see EunMi again; Tim and Rodney missed her too! They were very sweet to me: one day they gathered some wild flowers in a drinking glass and handed it to me. It brought tears to my eyes. We hardly mentioned anything about EunMi the weeks and months that followed, but we all had been touched by her in a special way and we love her so.

Nepals, Italy

My little one had just completed his Ancient Roman Project, and that brought back a lot of memories!

Italy was cold and not a bit romantic.
I took a train from Naples to Rome. The pair of boots that I wore for the trip had a bad design; it was torturous.
When I got back from Rome my best friend EunMi had left. Everyone asked me where I had been. She was calling out my name as the bus pulled away. It was a very sad day for me. The rest of my time in Italy was a blur.

Granada

i had a picnic in the Alhambra in Granada. EunMi and me, being young and just want to have fun - we followed a young scholarly lad all over the place and as it turned out he was from Japan and speak very little English.
it was a fun filled summer day where the two mischievous princesses roamed about and their giggles echoed
in a palace that was so rich in history with amazing architectural wonders and artistic works.

Gibralta

i befriended a young teen and her little sister,
i remembered walking down the market street with them on a sunny afternoon. it was a short visit and even though i walked around the Rock and saw the tailess monkeys , it was the people you came in contact that you remembered the most after all these years.

Alicante, Spain

Alicante - beautiful beaches! I remembered one morning a few of us girls went for an early swim; the sea was warm and the reflection from the morning sun light was beautiful...

i remembered when someone found out that there was a MacDonald in town, we swumped the place even though all we could afford was an ice cream cone and it tasted like something from heaven!

Seville, Spain

I spent almost four months in Spain. The drive to Seville was unforgettable! We drove past fields upon fields of sunflowers, and to top it off I got to enjoy the famous paella in a courtyard under an orange tree!

Portugal

I celebrated my 21st birthday in Lisbon, Portugal. It was a nice sunny day so Gareth, Dora and I took a short walk to a nearby park. Gareth sang me his rendition of “Forever young”. Somehow I was very homesick while I was there.
